DeckhandoffDeckhandoff processes only what delivering presentations requires: the speaker's name, email address, session, uploaded files and answers to the sound and own-computer questions.
- The database is in the EU (Ireland). Files are checked in code by reading their structure. Uploads are not processed with AI.
- Speakers have no accounts. Of the link's token only a hash is stored, plus an encrypted copy for re-sending the invitation. Organisers sign in with a single-use email link and see only their own organisation's events.
- Finished files are in the event's Google Drive folder. The organiser keeps that copy, and Deckhandoff doesn't delete it automatically.
Retention
When the retention period after the event has passed (90 days by default), Deckhandoff deletes the event's files and thumbnails from its own storage and anonymises the speakers' and partners' personal data, original file names and own-computer notes. The schedule structure and statistics are kept.
For organisers: speakers are told about the processing in a privacy notice, and you make a data processing agreement with Deckhandoff.
