DeckhandoffDeckhandoff collects the speakers' presentations for an event, checks them, names them and moves them to the technical team's Google Drive folder. The speaker sees at once which version arrived, so nobody has to ask by email.
Three views
- Speakers get a personal link in their invitation. On their page they upload the presentation, see the check results and get a confirmation. No accounts needed. See Uploading your presentation.
- Organisers import the schedule, send invitations and see in the status view whose presentation is missing. See Status view.
- Technical partners fetch the files from Drive and see in their own view what has changed since the last fetch. See Partner view.
What happens after an upload
- The presentation is checked: format, aspect ratio, fonts, videos and size. An error stops the version from being accepted, and a warning is shown with instructions.
- An accepted version is named with the event's pattern, e.g.
2026-11-18_1400_Virtanen_v3.pptx, and moved to the right day's folder. The previous version moves to the_vanhatfolder. - The speaker gets a confirmation: first slide, version, time and check results.
- Once the technical team has loaded the file on the presentation computer, that shows on the speaker's page too.
A new upload never replaces an old file. Every upload becomes a new version, and the current version is always the newest accepted one.
