The file can't be opened

The file is damaged or not what its name says. Save or export it again.

Why this matters: The file could not be read as a PowerPoint presentation, PDF or video. It may be damaged, still downloading, or have the wrong file extension.

PowerPoint

  1. Open the presentation and make sure it opens normally.
  2. Choose File → Save As and save a new copy as .pptx.
  3. Upload the new copy.

Google Slides

  1. Choose File → Download → Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx).
  2. Upload the downloaded file.

Canva

  1. Choose Share → Download.
  2. Pick PPTX (or PDF Standard) as the file type.
  3. Upload the downloaded file.

If that doesn't work: If nothing works, export a PDF and upload that (a PDF has no presenter view or speaker notes on the confidence monitor). Reply to your invitation email if you need help.

The checks run in your browser before the upload and again on the server. The server's result counts, and you see it on your upload page and in the confirmation email. See also the technical guidelines for your presentation.
