Save an old .ppt as .pptx

Why this matters: The .ppt format is from PowerPoint 2003 and earlier. It is not reliable on current computers.

PowerPoint for Windows

1. Open the file in PowerPoint.
2. Choose File → Save As.
3. In Save as type, choose PowerPoint Presentation (*.pptx).
4. Save and upload the new .pptx.

PowerPoint for Mac

1. Open the file in PowerPoint.
2. Choose File → Save As.
3. In File Format, choose PowerPoint Presentation (.pptx).
4. Save and upload the new .pptx.

The checks run in your browser before the upload and again on the server. The server's result counts, and you see it on your upload page and in the confirmation email. See also the technical guidelines for your presentation.
